DC is DC: Darts Corner agree sponsorship deal with Derek Coulson

Darts Corner is delighted to announce a sponsorship deal with the 2026 PDC Challenge Tour rankings runner-up Derek Coulson.

The 58-year-old finished second on this year’s Challenge Tour to secure a spot in the 2026/27 PDC World Darts Championship along with a two-year PDC tour card to play on the professional circuit from next year.

‘DC’ has been a Darts Corner customer for several years, buying his darts equipment from our extensive range to help him enjoy a remarkable rise in the sport over the last 18 months.

Originally a county pool player, the Welshman switched the pool cue for a set of darts when he moved to Market Drayton and joined a darts team that was starting in his local pub.

A Challenge Tour finalist in 2021, Coulson made his breakthrough on the TV stage when he qualified for the 2025 World Seniors Darts Championship, where he reached the semi-finals on debut at the Circus Tavern.

After narrowly missing out on a PDC tour card at UK Q-School in January this year, Coulson has flourished on the oche in 2026, winning Champions Week at the MODUS Super Series and his first two PDC titles on the Challenge Tour.

Now in his late 50s, ‘DC’ is showing that in a game of numbers, age is just another number, as he prepares to make his PDC World Darts Championship debut at the iconic Alexandra Palace in December, before embarking on his first year as a PDC tour card holder in 2027.
