Who are Target Darts?

Target Darts was launched in 2006 with a mission to go a ‘step beyond’ and bring game-changing darts products that bring quality and innovation to players of all abilities. In 2014, the legendary 16-time world champion Phil Taylor signed a lucrative deal to join the brand’s roster of players. Three years later, Taylor’s great rival Raymond van Barneveld, the five-time world champion from the Netherlands, made the switch to Target. Over the years, Target have released many innovative darts products, including K-Flex, Omni and Swiss Points, which are now used worldwide by players of all abilities.

Now based at their Target Darts UK headquarters in Harlow, Essex, Target boasts a list of sponsored players that is a who’s who in the world of darts and is headlined by the teenage sensation Luke Littler. At the start of 2026, Littler signed a 10-year extension with the darts manufacturer, worth a reported £20 million, and he has also been managed by the brand since October 2025.

A dart is made up of four elements (point, barrel, stem and flight), or three if you are using moulded flights. The Target dart Luke Littler uses are his signature Target Luke Littler Gen 1 Darts in 23g. The 2024/25 and 2025/26 PDC World Darts Championship winner has used these darts in many of his major tournament wins, with the barrels designed by Target to meet his exact requirements. The Gen 1 Darts are made of 90% tungsten and feature a multi-grip barrel profile, which includes dual pixel tip at the front and centre and fine radial grooves at the rear. The barrels are complete with a black PVD performance enhancing coating and extra re-machining to further highlight the dual pixel tip technology.

Littler also uses Target K-Flex, the brand’s moulded flight system, with his Gen 1 darts. The integrated flight and stem setup is growing in popularity, with Littler one of many players on the PDC tour opting away from the more traditional flight and stem system in favour of the moulded option.
